Streaming economy needs to be brought to light
Streaming technology is attractive to users and good business for digital providers. But it leads to an unfair devaluation of music.
Music artists put a lot of resources into creating value for others through their music, which is sold far too cheaply. Therefore, music artists recommend that the Minister of Culture, Jakob Engel-Schmidt, appoint a working group to investigate business models, algorithms, market mechanisms and the economic food chains.
Behind the call is the Danish Artist Association together with DPA, Autor, Danish Composers Association, Music Publishers in Denmark, Koda and Danish Musicians Association.
