Meet the managers

Join us for a Q&A with four prominent names from the industry on 9 April from 15:00 to 17:00.
Behind most great artists there is often a manager who more or less runs the whole business.
Together with some of the country's most talented managers, this afternoon we will learn more about how the manager works.
How do you work with a manager? What can you do if you dream of getting a manager? What do great managers look for when starting a collaboration? What can you do if you dream of getting a manager?

The managers:
Josephine Philip is a singer, composer and performer active on the Danish music scene in a variety of collaborations.She was half of the duo JaConfetti with Ane Trolle, founder of the female ska band Favelachic, and has written music and performed with Trentemøller and is one half of the performance duo Philip | Schneider.
Josephine runs the record/art label Midnight Confessions, where her first solo album, 'We Get Lost And Found', was released in 2022 and since then the label has been responsible for a number of Danish indie releases from Siv Øyunn and others. Howl Baby Howl and Hannah Schneider.
She is also a radio host on DR P8 with her own programme "Den Blå Time" and holds a degree in Music Management from the Danish Academy of Music.
Birk Storm is a manager, musician, music creator, producer and leader of the creative community Junobird.
Birk Storm is a trained drummer and has several releases under his own name. He has worked as a songwriter for a number of Swedish artists (Miriam Bryant, Death Team, Lova, Ängie etc.) until he started collaborating with Danish singer/songwriter Nicklas Sahl. In addition to managing and producing Nicklas Sahl, he also works with Danish artists such as PRISMA, as well as Laura Ziani and CEVIL.
In 2021, Birk Storm founded Junobird, a creative community that, in addition to the creative work of creating the music, is also both management and label
Thomas Børresen is Manger, A&R, label and publishing owner.
Thomas has been part of the management industry for more than 25 years and works with some of the biggest artists and producers on the Danish scene, including Medina, Outlandish, Andreas Odbjerg Drew Sycamore, Ericka Jane, Xander Linnet and Pitchshifters.
Thomas Børresen var også en toneangivelse spiller i teamet omkring Christopher og var med til at breake den danske kunstner både lokalt og i Asien. Han har ligeledes arbejdet med flere producere, herunder Louis Winding & Frederik Nordsø, The Providers, Svenstrup & Vendelboe.
Emilie Pil is the woman behind FRIDAY management, which houses artists such as eee gee, Mona Moroni and Kind mod Kind. With a background as A&R at Sony Music and radio host on The Voice, Emilie has extensive experience with the Danish music scene. In February 2024, she founded the independent record label 'Bon appétit!' together with Anders Lohmann and Søren Henriques Ferdinandsen.
