Unemployment insurance
As a new member, you are entitled to unemployment benefits after one year of membership if you fulfil the work requirement. However, many performers only become entitled to unemployment benefits after more than a year, as there may be periods of unemployment between jobs.
Get a personalised unemployment insurance advisor
As a member of the Artists' Unemployment Fund, you have your own counsellor who provides information and help regarding unemployment and availability. This is the same person who processes and pays out unemployment benefits if you become unemployed.
